On March 17, 2020 the City of Austin (where the Northwest building is located) issued a city ordinance ordering that no public gathering of 10 or more persons take place within the city. Religious assemblies are specifically included in this ordinance. Violation of these rules is a misdemeanor with fines and jail time as penalties. Romans 13:1-7 instructs us to be subject to governing authorities. The limit on assembly ordinance will remain in effect until May 1st, so this will not be over quickly, and the limits may tighten further before the restrictions end.

This coming Sunday, 3/22, the elders, with the assistance of many others, are planning to live steam a service from the building at 10AM, while complying with the assembly limits.
